Commonly known as 'Silver Arrow Maiden Hair Grass', this strong grower has very bright white variegation striping against green, making it one of the best for contrast to darker foliage colors. Here in this photo we have it planted in front of the 'Red Obelisk' beech tree, which is almost black, so it really pops. The plant grows well in full sun and will be 5-6 ft tall by mid summer. Best to cut to the ground in late winter for fresh and bright new growth in spring. The flower plumes are a soft light-pink and will fade to white and last all winter until cut back. Hardy to zone 6.
