Pieris japonica 'Cavatine'
LIMITED TIME SALE PRICE!!
Desirable, as this cultivar of Japanese Andromeda is the most compact, so can fit into smaller spaces. Commonly called the Dwarf Lily of the Valley shrub, this plant has several seasons of interest. In winter, the pale green flower buds contrast well with its dark green foliage. Then, in mid-March it is almost completely covered in creamy-white bell shaped flowers, providing a source of nectar for early-season pollinators such as mason bees. Useful as a beautiful low informal hedge and can be trimmed to stay in the shape you prefer. Also, when planted in front of taller shrubs the plant will hide any legginess. 'Cavatine' always receives the highest ratings when listed in publications. Will grow for several years successfully in a container. Hardy to zone 6.
