Osakazuki is a fast growing, large tree with seven fingered, serrated leaves.  This variety is becoming popular because it is more heat, drought and wind resistant than many other Japanese maples.  This makes the beauty of the Japanese maple available to a wider variety of landscaping projects.  Commercial projects where each plant cannot have a high degree of personal attention will have a good option in Japanese maples, which is good news for the boring and cookie cutter landscapes of office buildings and parking lots.  If you are still working on your green thumb....... this is our gift to you.
