We are very impressed as to how 'blue' this tree is. The color is even more intense when the green new growth comes out and offers contrast. The new growth turns the 'powder-blue' color over the summer. This tree is relatively slow growing, and will stay narrow over time, making it a candidate for those who like the looks of the Atlantic Cedar, but lack the space needed for one. Over 10 years of time this tree will be only 6 ft. tall and 3 feet wide. This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the 1970s by Günter Horstmann Nursery of Schneverdingen Germany.
