This R. yakushimanum hybrid from the Thompson Nursery in Waldport, Oregon forms a dense mound 4ft. wide by 3ft. tall in 10 years. When it blooms, the salmon pink flowers completely cover the foliage making a grand display. This would be a good candidate for planting in a shady spot as it will make enough flower buds to a nice display in the shade.
