Coles Prostrata

A spectacular dwarf spreading form of Canadian Hemlock. The stems grow curving around and knotting and the leaves are green and small. 'Cole's Prostrata' will weep right over walls and rocks. Collected by HR Cole in 1929 near Mt. Madison, Coos County Nursery, Hampshire, England.  And, for bird lovers, this variety will provide dense shelter for ground-feeding birds like towhees and juncos.
