One of the sasanqua type of camellias that blooms in the fall, October to January, and has FRAGRANT flowers. The single or semi-double flowers are cerise pink to rosy red in color, shading paler in the center with creamy yellow stamens. Prefers partial or full shade, but will still grow well in areas with ample sun. The plant is fairly vigorous, evergreen, with glossy dark-green foliage. Hardy to zone 7.
